Small Group Agreement

Growing

· Clear Purpose: We will come to grow spiritually and connect deeply with one another by building a healthy small group community.

· Spiritual Partners: I will pair up with one other group member who I can support more diligently and help to grow spiritually.

· Spiritual Health: I will give group members permission to help me live a healthy spiritual life that is pleasing to God.

Investing

· Group Attendance: Commit my time and energy to be at the meetings and available for people throughout the week.

· Rotating Leaders: Leadership is shared by all, therefore we all will rotate group facilitation.

· Shared Ownership: Every member is a minister and should share ownership of the group’s practical and spiritual responsibilities.

· Inviting People: We will always have an open chair so that we can invite a person who needs a community of faith to help them learn about Christ. This evangelistic effort allows space and room for the lost to find their place.

Protecting

· Confidentiality: We will keep anything that is shared strictly confidential and within the group.

· Safe Environment: We will create a safe place where people can be heard and feel loved. No quick answers, snap judgments or simple fixes.

What can I say about our group? Completely unexpected.

Most of us are use to small groups that meet to eat, read the bible, and say, "see you next week". We do all of that and more. We have some great people in our group with big hearts. People who want to see God's work done, and want to give our group "a purpose" - and yes, I am quoting them!

We have people in our group who believe in connecting, and building relationships. They reach out to each other throughout the week. Some of us are planning to travel to Italy together, while others are getting together for a bar-b-que and a soccer game. We've even started to sit together during the service.

But above all else, this group has proven that they care about each other's pains and struggles. We have been meeting for only 7 weeks, but people are there for each other again and again and again. From buying washer and dryers to calling each other up in the middle of a life crisis.

My prayer for the group? That we are protected during our "infancy". That we have space and time to continue to learn and love on each other. Above all else, that God stays with us!!

You guys rock!!!

Lo sabia? Casi la mitad de nuestro grupo de Fellowship habla espanol. Que increible como Dios esta en muchas culturas y idiomas.

Traduccion/Translation:
" Did you know it? Almost half of our Fellowship small group speaks Spanish. How incredible that God is with us in various cultures and languages. "

It just further shows how diverse and unique our group has become. We all bring so much to the table. And I believe God has everyone of us here for a purpose.
